Marge Creates Shipping & Delivery Info & Terms

Thank you for shopping at Marge Creates.  As we deal with customized and small handmade items, please read our Shipping and Delivery Policy carefully.                     

      1. Shipping Overview

  • Please allow for 3-7 working days (excluding weekends and public holidays) for production before shipping, as all products are handmade and it may happen that we have run out of stock since we offer the option for backorder.
  • We do however try our best to avoid any delays, but we are also dependent on timely deliveries from our suppliers and unfortunately there might be delays from our suppliers from time to time. 
  • We take pride in our work and brand, and would rather take longer in creating and dispatching your order knowing it’s the best, than dispatching a subpar product. 
  • Should there be a delay in dispatching an order, we will inform you immediately. 
  • We ship nationwide across South Africa and have partnered with The Courier Guy for fast and efficient delivery.
  • Door to Door collections and deliveries can happen throughout the week when we have completed your order.  Locker to Locker and Locker to Door deliveries will be deposited in The Courier Guy’s lockers on Wednesday afternoons and Friday afternoons after completion of your order.
  • We do not add shipping prices to our products, but charge shipping separately.
  • Once dispatched, you will receive an email, SMS or WhatsApp with tracking details. 
  • At this time, we only offer shipping for South Africa and not another country.  Should you wish to order and reside in another country, please contact us via email at info@margecreates.com for a custom quote to ship to you.  Digital items can be ordered worldwide.

      2. Shipping Rates and Methods and Delivery Times (Only for South Africa)

  • National rates and delivery times – Area Dependent. 
  • Locker to Locker (Max 2kg):  R 70.00   (2-3 business days for main centers, 3-5 business days for regional/outlying areas)
  • Locker to Door (Max 2kg):  R 100.00   (2-3 business days for main centers, 3-5 business days for regional/outlying areas)
  • Economy Door to Door (Max 5kg):  R 160.00   (2-3 business days for main centers, 3-5 business days for regional/outlying areas)
  • Bulk Orders (51+ stickers, keychains etc.) and Orders Over 5kg:  Please contact us at info@margecreates.com

     3. Surcharges That May Be Applied

The Courier Guy typically applies surcharges for remote, rural, or high-risk areas, as well as specific infrastructure sites, rather than specific town names, unless they are classified as regional areas requiring special trips.

Common Surcharge Areas:

  • Remote/Rural Areas: Farms, smallholdings (plots), game lodges, and mining sites often incur extra fees.
  • Special Locations: Mines, power stations, military bases, ports/harbours, and consulates, chain stores.
  • High-Risk Areas (Red Zones): Certain areas deemed high-risk for security reasons may have surcharges or require collection from a police station. Examples often cited but not limited to: Parts of Soweto, Tembisa (including Clayville/Olifantsfontein), Katlehong, Vosloorus, Cosmo City, Delft (Voorburg), Khayelitsha, Blue Downs, and Eerste River.Regional
  • Regional Areas: Areas outside of main cities (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, etc.) may be classified as "Regional" and face surcharges if a special trip is needed.

Should your delivery address fall under any one of these areas, or should you know that courier services struggle to deliver to your area; please select the Locker to Locker option or alternatively please contact us regarding a quotation for delivery and approximate delivery time to your door.  We do not want to lose an order due to courier surcharges or problematic delivery, but we are a small business and unfortunately cannot absorb surcharges. 

      4. What is a Locker Delivery?

  • The Courier Guy Locker to Locker service is a courier service making use of a secure locker system. Your parcel is deposited into a secure locker by Marge Creates. The courier company then collects your parcel from the locker and either delivers your parcel into a locker close to your delivery address (locker to locker service) or to your delivery address (locker to door service).
  • If you chose Locker to Locker as your delivery method, you will receive a notification from The Courier Guy with a QR code and PIN code as well as the Collection Locker address. Once you receive it, you can use the QR Code or Pin Code to unlock the Locker and retrieve your parcel. This is especially convenient, as you can collect your parcel any time and there is no chance of you accidentally missing the delivery if you are not home.  Most lockers are available 24/7, but those in shopping centers are only accessible during operating hours.
  • But please note: The Courier Guy typically gives you 36 hours to collect your parcel from their parcel lockers once it has been delivered.  When you choose Locker to Locker as your delivery service, you are in essence reserving a locker for your parcel for 36 hours (this starts counting down as soon as your parcel is deposited into the collection locker) in which collection of your parcel must take place.  After 36 hours, the parcel is considered expired, but it is not lost; it is removed and sent to the nearest The Courier Guy Kiosk to wait for your collection.  If the parcel is not collected from the kiosk within a certain time, it may be returned to the sender. If you cannot collect it within the 36 hours, it is recommended to contact The Courier Guy support or use their website for options.
  • Failure to collect your parcel will result in cancellation of the collection with NO REFUND. Your parcel will not be refunded to you and Marge Creates takes no responsibility for your parcel and the non-collection of your parcel. It is your responsibility to follow up on communications from The Courier Guy and to collect your parcel in time. Marge Creates will not refund your parcel or value of the order if you do not collect your parcel in time. Marge Creates takes no responsibility for incorrect contact details supplied on order placement.

5. To which Locker will my parcel be sent?

Two options are available:

  1. Enter your preferred Locker name and address as your delivery address.
  2. Enter your home or office address and we will select the locker closest to that address. Please note that we are reliant on The Courier Guy website to indicate all lockers in your entered area, and unfortunately, we do not know your area like you do, so we do try our best to select the closest lockers that show up on The Courier Guy’s website.

Please take note - we only offer locker to locker service and NOT locker to kiosk. The Courier Guy Kiosk is not a locker, and has a different fee structure.  Should you require delivery to a The Courier Guy kiosk, please contact us for a quotation at info@margecreates.com.

6. IMPORTANT CONCERNING COURIER SERVICES, FEES AND COLLECTIONS

  • Upon placement of an order, you agree to all Marge Creates and The Courier Guy’s Terms and Conditions.
  • It is unfortunate, but should you not select the correct courier fee, or contact us for a courier fee quote due to surcharge areas; we will not be able to fulfil your order.  Should we experience any courier surcharges we will immediately contact you with the outstanding balance and request settlement of the outstanding balance.
  • Delivery times take place between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays and weekends.  We do not offer weekend, public holiday, overnight or same day shipping.  All shipping is economy based.
  • If you are not available on the day of delivery for Door to Door or Locker to Door delivery, please contact The Courier Guy call center as soon as possible, or contact the details supplied with the pin and delivery date sent via SMS, WhatsApp, or email.  Should you not be available to receive your parcel, the driver will not wait and will return the parcel to the depot.  Your parcel will not be sent out again.  When this happens, the responsibility will fall on you to contact The Courier Guy and arrange and pay for re-shipping.  Marge Creates will not take responsibility and will not refund your order or pay for re-shipping to take place.
  • Should you know that you will not be available on a certain day, or week, or month when placing your order and know that your order should arrive during that time; please contact us so that we can withhold you parcel until after the day, week, or month.  Should we receive such a request from you, please email us again when you are ready to receive your parcel in order for us to send it.
  • It is the responsibility of the customer to enter the correct delivery address or locker address and the correct contact details.  The Courier Guy uses physical address and not P.O. Boxes.  Marge Creates and The Courier Guy does not take responsibility for delays in shipping if and when the delivery address and contact details are incorrect.  Should you realize that you have made a mistake and the order has not been shipped, please contact Marge Creates immediately.  If your order has already been dispatched to The Courier Guy, please contact them on the contact details supplied on their communications to you.  Alternatively, please contact Marge Creates.
  • Should you request cancellation of your order, we will only refund the amount after store, payment portal and banking fees have been deducted.  Should you have ordered custom or personalized items and would like to cancel, the amount for the custom or personalized items will not be refunded.

7. Pre-Ordered Items

  • Pre-ordered items will be indicated but will not be immediately available upon placement of order.
  • Should you pre-order a product, it will only be shipped after the official release date.

8. Damaged or Missing Items

If your items arrive damaged, please take a photo of the packaging and the damaged goods and email us within 48 hours of delivery at info@margecreates.com.

9. Custom & Large Orders

For custom sticker orders, production time only begins once artwork is finalized and payment is received in full.
